Some fun for a change
It’s nearly one in the morning, and I’m still up. Why? Because me and the kids had a rain-soaked night at the drive-in. Yes they still exist and if you don’t have one near you, I feel sorry for you. Some of my best nights have come at the drive-in. Cuddled up with someone in the bed of a pickup truck, snuggled in next to someone in the front seat, screaming like a girl when the scary part hits, because I knew he liked it. Not all my nights have been with a date, though, one of my favorte memories was of going to an all-nighter with Tara and laughin our asses off when someone was getting into a fight. (making sure our baseball bat was tucked neatly beside the seat first, lol) Tonight was another good night, except for a few things. First the rain always makes me think of someone, and I wished he were there with us. Secondly, an adult would have been nice to watch Ironman with, due to some of the “adult” humor. For example, in the scene where Tony Stark is in court with the U.S. Government, the one guy accuses Tony of selfishly only pleasuring himself and Tony says “that’s right I pleasure myself all the time” I was howling, and the kids just didn’t get it.
It wasn’t a bad night by any means, anytime I get to spend time with the kids is quality time, and a great time. We made sandwiches to eat, and Travis and Cass played hackey-sack for a while…but the best part? I got to play in the rain again.
